Our Changing Relationship with Work

The London HR Connection is delighted to welcome you along to our next live and ‘in person’ networking event held in conjunction with the leading HR and outplacement consultancy, INTOO.

As well as the chance to network face to face over a glass or two of wine and something to eat, we will be joined by HR industry leaders to discuss and debate our changing relationship with work.

How is your relationship with work? What are your colleagues thinking? Do you still hold the same career aspirations and work focus that you did five years ago? What’s changed?

Join us as we review some exclusive Future World of Work research findings looking at ‘Work: How, Where, When and Why?’

Our world is changing at an ever-increasing pace driven by a range of socio-economic, political, technological and environmental issues and all – to some extent – impact upon our working lives. As expected, this gives rise to a series of evolving challenges that employers must contend with if they are to maintain an engaged, motivated and productive workforce able to achieve organisational goals. Talented people remain in short supply, different generations now focus on changed priorities and the impact of AI – whilst becoming an increasingly familiar concept – has yet to impact upon the majority of roles. Changes brought about as a result of the pandemic (though we would argue that change was already preordained) continue to exert a strong influence on aspects of our working lives and behaviours arising as a result of the enforced lockdown have now become embedded.

Join our panel of experts to discuss and debate the myriad issues at play in our relationship with the world of work.

Our panel will include:

Milan Makwana is Managing Director and Head of HR EMEA at Mizuho Bank which has over 2500 employees across the region. Prior to joining Mizuho, Milan was Head of HR EMEA and Global Head of TA at Moody’s Corporation and, before that, spent over 12 years at JP Morgan.

Alexandra Shoobert is a Business Psychologist in OE Cam’s Organisation Development practice with expertise in applying psychological principles and other business tools to improve individual, team and organisation effectiveness.

Greg Clark is Head of People at The Mission Group, a collective of creative and marketing agencies that employs over 1000 people across three continents. Prior to embarking on an HR career with Orange Mobile, Greg had nearly two decades in sales and marketing management roles in New Zealand and the UK. He has since held senior HR roles at BT, The Crown Estate, the London Stock Exchange and Warner Music

Owen Morgan is Managing Director at INTOO. Owen has worked in the ‘people space’ for almost 25 years – initially with Penna where he was COO until the business sold in 2016 and latterly with INTOO, an organisation providing career transition, outplacement, leadership and executive coaching services. Owen is an executive coach and has a continuing interest in how people relate to work and how careers are developed.

This event is fully booked.
