The London HR Connection is delighted to welcome you along to our next live and ‘in person’ networking event held in conjunction with the leading HR and outplacement consultancy, INTOO.

As well as the chance to network face to face over a glass or two of wine and something to eat, we will be joined by HR and wellbeing industry leaders to discuss and debate the burgeoning issue of ‘burnout’ that HR is facing.

At a time when we are all encouraged to pay attention to our physical health and mental wellbeing, the incidence of burnout appears to be on the increase. Inevitably, in an organisational setting, HR will be charged with looking to alleviate these situations and support the implementation of best practice initiatives that mitigate these occurrences. But what of HR practitioners themselves? How can they ensure they do not fall victim to the very issues they are looking to manage? What part does an uncertain economic background and job-insecurity play in enhancing incidences of burnout and what can be done about it? Referencing INTOO’s latest research in this area our panel will delve into the topic and offer up thoughts and opinions relevant to all working in senior HR roles across the capital and beyond.

Join our panel of experts to discuss and debate the myriad issues at play when it comes to burnout in the workplace.

Our panel will include:

Siobhán Sheridan has been the CPO at the Financial Conduct Authority for the last four years and leads the FCA’s people strategy as well as chairing its DE&I programme board. Prior to joining the FCA, Siobhán was the Civilian HRD in the Ministry of Defence and has held a range of senior HR roles across the private, public and third sectors including as HRD in Defra and the Department for Work and Pensions.

Laila Ngo leads the HRBP function at BAT Digital Business Solutions. She has 15+ years of global experience specialising in HR strategy, business partnering, talent management, DEI and HR operations with organisations including IBM and Dupont.

Rod Jones is a highly experienced interim COO and change leader with a proven track record of leading business transformation, organisational redesign, digital innovation and boosting staff engagement across both interim and permanent roles.

Matt Willcox is the Managing Director the award winning recruitment and executive search organisation, Marks Sattin. A 20+ year industry specialist, Matt is passionate about authentic leadership, empowerment and culture so was especially thrilled when Marks Sattin appeared in the top 10 of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025.

Owen Morgan is the Managing Director at INTOO. Owen has worked in the ‘people space’ for almost 25 years – initially with Penna where he was COO until the business sold in 2016 and latterly with INTOO, an organisation providing career transition, outplacement, leadership and executive coaching services. Owen is an executive coach and has a continuing interest in how people relate to work and how careers are developed.

This discussion and our panel of HR and wellbeing experts will be moderated by the Chair of London HR Connection, Craig McCoy, who has served as Chief People Officer for multiple businesses across sectors primarily in the health and social care, technology and media space.
