Dear all,
I wanted to send you my very best wishes for the Christmas and New Year holidays. I know 2024 has been a challenging time for many (and for the world) but let’s hope 2025 brings more joy and prosperity.
It’s been a pivotal year for London HR Connection as we became fully independent on 1 July this year, marking the end of an era in our history of around 40 years.
We held many great evening events and for the first time we supplemented these with several invitation-only dinners, breakfasts and roundtables for Chief People Officers and HR Directors which were very well received. We welcomed a range of new commercial partners to add to our panel of regular annual sponsors and we also appointed several new Board members to the team.
I’m excited about 2025 which brings more new developments for us including our first ever event in Manchester in January pushing beyond our London based legacy. To facilitate this we created the HR Connection group and we are currently exploring further potential events in Birmingham and other UK cities.
Our membership (which is free) has continued to grow and our online community now stands at over 5,000 people with an interest in the world of HR and people leadership. We are also developing our exclusive community of hundreds of senior leaders in HR – CPOs and HRDs – with whom we engage and speak to regularly as part of our forward agenda and as contributors and advocates.
We are always grateful for any support you can provide, e.g. introducing new people to our networks, recommending speakers or themes to cover, offers of venues or suggesting new sponsors.
For those of you who have got involved with LHRC this year I hope it’s been a positive and fun experience and we are developing a busy agenda for the year ahead so I hope to meet many more of you in due course.
